Can I filter and download data to answer specific questions?

Yes you may! AmTrav's 19 (and counting!) reports can be filtered and sorted by booking dates, travel dates, traveler, booker, approver, air/hotel/car product, in or out of travel policy, plus your own employee ID fields (like the employee's department) and custom billing fields (like trip purpose or client). Then with one click you can download the report to PDF or spreadsheet (XLS or CSV), or print the report. How can I use reports to improve my travel policy?

AmTrav gives you two reports to understand the performance of your travel policy. First, the Policy Compliance Summary tells you your overall policy compliance (portion of trips that are fully within policy out of all your trips for the period), then breaks down policy by air, hotel and car product type, and again by the policy type. Policy type includes "select option less than or equal to maximum price" -- how often did bookers stay beneath your maximum airfare, nightly rate or daily rate -- and "book permitted category" -- how often did bookers select a permitted cabin, hotel or car class. Also, AmTrav estimates the lost savings, the difference between the selected out-of-policy option and the highest-priced in-policy option. Need to drill down further? The Out of Policy Log gives you the full detail for each out-of-policy booking, including which policies were violated, the bookers' explanation for their choice, and more.
Do I need a business travel analytics provider to visualize my travel data?

It's up to you. Many organizations use Excel, Tableau and other analytics tools to prepare custom dashboard, visualizations and trend reports. With AmTrav you can download your data into a spreadsheet for easy transfer, or set up batch jobs (API or SFTP) to regularly send the data you need over to your databases and tools -- even easier! You can visualize your data in the Travel Reports Dashboard, including filtering by travel or booking dates to see a specific time period, but for more sophisticated visualizations
What do you mean when you say your data is really accurate?

We mean that our data comes straight from the booking and payment source. So if the trip is updated between booking and payment (say, a lower fare is found), an unused ticket is applied or a trip is changed, that latest, accurate amount goes into the reports -- not the old data. Other booking tools handle only initial bookings so the data they produce reflects only that initial booking: if the price is adjusted, you apply an unused ticket or the trip is later changed, that doesn't happen through the booking tool and that data doesn't get to your reporting -- something like 25% of your data will be incorrect and won't match up with other sources. Correcting these booking tool issues requires extra analytics tools, which aren't cheap and still aren't completely accurate. And of course collecting your own data from travelers is fraught with trouble, you have to collect and enter it yourself, rely on travelers to self-report, interpret changes yourself. With AmTrav, you have none of these worries.
