Today, AmTrav is launching a new feature that provides more flexibility for your travel policies. Now, if your company travel policy allows your travelers to upgrade their seats on longer flights, you can configure your AmTrav travel policy to support that rule.
This flexibility is particularly beneficial for travelers with frequent long-haul journeys or those with specific travel preferences. By providing the option to upgrade seats, companies can enhance traveler satisfaction without the rigidity of a one-size-fits-all policy.
To turn this feature on for a particular travel policy, simply go to your Travel Policy tab, scroll down to your Flight Policy and click “Edit Airline Seats & Cabin”. You can select Yes or No to turn this feature on or off (it’s No or off by default) and establish how many hours defines a “longer” flight. Note: Turning on this policy will not overwrite existing policies in place. For example, if your policy states that air ticket prices must be within $200 of the lowest logical fare, upgrades outside of this price range will be clearly marked as out of policy.
Does your company not allow upgrades on longer flights? No problem, again this feature is defaulted to “No” or off and will only turn on if you activate it in each policy.
We’d also like to note that this feature was recently suggested to us by one of our customers. Just like the recent past trips and GSA per diem rate support, this policy upgrade is part of a series of recent releases designed for you to get the most out of your travel program.
